Some Cats Are Spankos

I’m not trying to be weird with this one… so don’t make it weird… but I would be remiss as a spanko to overlook this simple fact about our furry feline friends: some cats, like us humans, enjoy having their butts patted… somewhat firmly!
You’ve all seen what I’m talking about. Give certain cats a light smacky and they’ll be all up in your grill asking for more. They’ll raise their butts in the air and look back at you needily, like a spankee begging for their favorite form of attention. “Give me that which I desire, human. You know the one.”
It’s a curious yet simultaneously sensical thing to see if you’ve had this fetish your whole life. Game sees game. We’re all animals at the end of the day and it seems we share some things in common when it comes to loving the spanks. Here’s what the internet told me about why some cats are spankos.
Nerve Density
The base of a cat’s tail contains tightly packed nerve endings, making it a highly sensitive, pleasurable, and calming area. This is also the case for us humans. The sciatic nerve, the longest and thickest nerve in the body, originates in the buttocks. There are also the superior and inferior gluteal nerves, which manage muscle function. This is why touches to the booty create stronger sensations than our forearms, for example. It feels very good, like a deep-tissue massage.
Lovely Hormones
Booty smacks can precipitate the release of pleasurable, bonding hormones like dopamine and oxytocin, both in humans and cats. The natural drugs that get us spankos high apparently do the same to our feline counterparts.
Scent Marking
Cats have scent glands at the base of their tail that release pheromones we humans can’t smell. (Not consciously, anyway.) When they rub up against us while we pat their butts, they mark us as their territory with these unique, phantom smells. Through this affiliation, they bond with us, making it known that we belong to them.

Mating Signals
In unspayed female cats, spanky pats can trigger a “lordosis” response, nature’s most recognizable mating posture, that makes them raise their rear high in the sky. I am sure you see human ladies do the same in certain sexy videos, or if you’re lucky, in person.
Some Very Important Notes:
Just as humans aren’t all into spanking, many cats do not want the butt pats. Enjoyment of smacky fun is an individual preference and we must not assume everyone wants to play.
Technique is key. You cannot pat cat butts haphazardly in ways that cause fear or injury. With human spankees, the location and firmness of smackage determines whether the experience will be pleasurable. It would seem cats feel the same.
Consent matters. Cats who like spanks may not want them all the time, or with any ol’ weirdo who tries to touch. They’re just like us!
I’ll stop here because I didn’t want this to get weird, but it’s starting to feel that way. Don’t go around spanking cats! Unless you know them very well… and they really want you to… and you know how to do it right… just keep it appropro!
